Monsters:

x3 Helios-The Primordial Sun
x2 Gren Maju Da Eiza
x2 Golden Homunculus
x2 Lightray Sorceror
x2 Helios Duo Megistus
x2 Helios Trio Megistus
x2 D.D. Crow
x2 D.D. Warrior Lady
x2 Dimensional Alchemist
x1 Summoner Monk

Spell:

x2 Mystical Space Typhoon
x2 Soul Release
x1 Monster Reborn
x1 Heavy Storm
x1 Dark Hole
x1 Book of Storm
x1 Smashing Ground

Trap

x1 Imperial Custom
x2 Macro Cosmos
x2 Dimensional Prison
x2 Bottomless Trap Hole
x2 Solemn Warning
x1 Solemn Judgment
x1 Mirror Force

I tried running something like a Spirit Reaper with Banisher of the Radiance setup, but it proved to be too inconsistent and frustrating most of the time. This one seems a bit better for all it's worth, though I may decide to switch out Imperial Custom and a Solemn Warning for a couple of Torrential Tribute's.

The whole focus is to keep cards banished. I've yet to try it against the Meta, but it seems to me that if you can get your Macro Cosmos out and keep it out, you'll come away nearly untouched. The primary focus of this strategy is to keep banishing your opponent's stuff and get some of your stuff banished in the process. Golden Homuculus works well within a deck like this, since he's able to go 4700 easily while Macro Cosmos is in play. The second focus should be on just that: Attack power from banished cards.

Basically, the strategy is to get as much banished on your opponent's side as possible. You'll get that upper hand by using cards like Crow and Warrior Lady, while Assailant and Soul Release make beautiful additions to an otherwise decent deck. You're also falling back on stuff like Cosmos and Alchemist, whom bring attention to themselves through their own methods. I tried something with Card Trooper, but if you're banishing, he can't get his effect.

The problem with this deck is the lack of monsters like Homunculus that gain attack power through ANY cards versus stuff like Helios that only gain it through banished monsters. If anyone would like to give suggestions, the floor is open.

Also, not sure if I'll keep Monk.

Helios is one of my favorite archetypes <3

I suggest maxing macro cosmos and then running a storm or so. Also run 3x Forbidden lance. I have a similar deck and your main goal should be to summon Tris. Once you have tris out and your cosmos is dead via storm you can set a lance and be ready for almost anything. Just remember to use your lances wisely in the deck. LANCES ARE GOD FUEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sadly don't see the potential of Helios and the rest of the archetype outside of the weakest monster being random Xyz Material. Might someone enlighten me?

You're not joking are you?

For one, Macro Cosmos. Anything sent to the grave is removed instead, which makes it hilarious when someone plays Dark World or Wind-Up. You also get away with trolling Inzektor, since any attempt to shut you down can be countered with a Veiler or another Cosmos. Basically, they're great for when you want to run a lockdown on Meta.

My esteemed guest there can help the argument.

I didn't ask about Macro Cosmos or the whole banishing shtick. I asked specifically about Helios and the rest, and not Macro Cosmos, which is only support.

Because the entire purpose of the Helios monsters is to feed off the banishing of an opponent's cards. Specifically, their monsters. Plus, with Duo and Trice, you can easily Lance them when you see they're about to get destroyed and bring them back at the end of the turn with a power boost. Personally, I love the moment when I summon Hommunculus and call game.
