I have a question about Starlight Road and how does it work with the two viruses.

As you all know, Starlight Road can be activated when 2 or more cards on the field would be destroyed by a card effect, in order to negate it and Special Summon a Stardust Dragon.

Deck Devastation Virus and Eradicator Epidemic Virus are card that can destroy 2 or more cards on the field.

The situation is this:
-Opponent has Starlight Road and another set card
-I have Grapha on the field and a previously set Eradicator Epidemic Virus

I activated Eradicator Epidemic Virus calling Traps. Provided I do not know what kind of card is the other set, can the opponent activate the Starlight?

Someone (like me) says that Starlight could be activated only if the spell/trap cards on the field are face-up.
Someone else says that Starlight can be activated after showing the other set card to the opponent.

What does happen in this situation?

Virus checks set/in hand cards at resolution.

At activation, we only know it will destroy cards that are currently faceup.

Starlight road is negates so it must be the immediately chained to the desired target.
That being said, you can only chain Starlight to Eradicator Epidemic Virus if you have 2 face-up cards of the called type because you cannot techincally check until resolution.
Ex: I have Skill Drain and Macro Cosmos, and you activate EEV then yes you can chain starlight road.
If you had 1 face-up trap and a bunch of set traps you cannot starlight even if you chain a trap face-up because it prevents starlight road from activating in the link.
However, If you he has a face-up trap and then chains another trap and you chain EEV then he can chain starlight in this odd mess of a situation.

What if you knew the facedowns through an effect like Odins eye?

My initial response is yes since you do know that it will destroy 2 or more cards, but i will check with TCB.

ETA: Nope

If the traps are continuously being revealed, like through the effect of Mind's Air, then you can chain Starlight Road if two or more would be destroyed since they are public knowledge and you know they will be destroyed.

Odin's Eye checks them and after that they are set and arent public knowledge anymore so you once again dont know how many will be destroyed.

Nub, the game is stupider than us card players

The game doesn't know what the cards are still.

This is why you can't use SLR
