I'm going to skim over these, as they're generic Xyz monsters, that most of you have probably made use of, or have had used against you once before. I'll give advantages and disadvantages of each.
So, here it is, a quick guide to GENERIC RANK 4 XYZ MONSTERS.

Number 39 - Utopia

Maestroke the Symphony Djinn

Gagaga Cowboy/Gunman

Number 50 - Blackship of Corn

Number 16 - Shock Master

Photon Papilloperative

Lavalval Chain

Daigusto Emeral

Gem-Knight Pearl

Abyss Dweller

Vylon Disigma

If I missed anything off (these are ones that can work in ANY DECK) please say.
Also, I'm aware this is probably an awful guide (as it doesn't really say much people don't know) but I hope you like it xD

EDIT - Added Vylon Disigma, Gem-Knight Pearl, Abyss Dweller. More to come!

I hardly see being able to go in C39 as a pro to using Utopia.

Also you lack Gem-Knight Pearl and Abyss Dweller.

I am disappoint you no mention the rest(Specifically, Pearl, Roach, Abyss Dweller, and the other 3 Rank 4s)
Also corn you forgot that the Monsters should be "face-up"

Forgot about Roach, myself. Probably because it sucks.

Queen Dragun is also generic, albeit situational as not many decks have a random Dragon to produce.

looks like a nice article but yea add pearl since its a good beater, gets over the 2500 magic attack stat, unaffected by skill drain and fiendish chain etc, cons as in its just a beater and can clog materials.

Abyss dweller is really good against a lot of current meta decks so it deserves a mention.

Roach hasn't been seeing too much play but is still a decent mention.

Diawolf is another generic xyz which is a good 141 card if nothing else to get rid of a problematic card.

Evigishki merrowgeist and number 106 are not that much useful but they see play in the ocg.

Arighty. I'll add these when I can. I was going to add Pearl then forgot when it came to posting, and the others all slipped past me o.o
By generic I meant ones that work in most or all decks so Queen Dragun, although generic for summoning, doesn't help a lot of decks.

Is it good so far though?

Should probably mention Utopia's vulnerability to Mind Control as opposed to the others.

Didn't notice anything else missing that hasn't already been said.

Edits will probably be made at around 10pm onwards tomorrow (GMT) since I can't get on my laptop until then (I'm going off to a university visit day, and it's a long journey)

Just keep telling me what to add to it while I'm out xD

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it.
Now rather than leaving mindless garbage comments that are worse than my scrappy guide (which I already know is bad thanks) leave something helpful to improve.

Come back with something constructive to say or don't say anything, k?

Number 106: Giant Hand

Pros:
  • Good first turn monster
  • Stops monster effects
  • disallows battle position change
  • ATK/DEF 2000/2000
Cons:
  • Must remain on the field to stop battle position change and monster effects from activating
  • Detachs 2 Xyz Materials instead of 1
  • Requires knowledge on opponents deck
Wind-Up Zenmaister

Pros:
  • Has 2500 ATK with 2 Xyz Materials
  • Allows reuse of monster effects that require to be flipped face-up
Cons:
  • ATK decreases per material use
  • A monster effected by this cards effect is forced into face-up attack position at end phase
  • Limited use, cannot be splashed in every deck
Vylon Disigma

Pros:
  • ATK/DEF 2500/2100
  • Uses opponents monsters as equip cards
  • Any monster that has the same attribute as the equipped card is destroyed at the start of the damage step (Becomes a Ally of Justice: Catastor)
Cons:
  • The monster has to be in face-up attack position and also a effect monster for this card to activate
  • Requires 3 level 4 monsters to be summoned
Number 10: Illumiknight

You can do pros and cons for this one.

Number 50: Blackship of Corn?

All Hail the Cornship!

Almost a staple for tourguide - zenmaines removal. He doesn't destroy because he "sends to the graveyard. Can kill many leve; 5-6 monsters and Ancient Fairy Dragon (played a friends. Realized it says less than or EQUAL to. Made me sad).

Anyways. it is really the only card that is kind of a pirate ship. fairly staple-worthy as a monster removal tool. Just me.

Well then. I do feel rather stupid. It is hard to read English when you read English normally. Must've skipped that one then.
The only other ones I would prop up as being worthy of common to a deck (very situation based) are Kochi Kachi Dragon and Abyss Dweller.

Kochi Kachi for the double attacking and fits into earth decks.

Abyss Dweller is nice in Water decks that actually XYZ (I've been seeing more and more Remora Rabbit builds) and he can cancel ye' old Stardust and many others in the grave, Absolutely nerfs many searchers and, well, Madolches be gettin' mad. The 500 attack bump is also nice if you are a candidate for it.

No pictures, too much work after Cornship debacle.

Despite mentioning it in Papilloperative's When to use it section, you forgot to mention in the Advantages section that it can be used to start or setup your own combos. ;P

Personally, I prefer number 102: Holy Lightning Glorious Halo over number 39: Utopia.  Same stats, but you can do more with 102 in my opinion.

And you can do even more with a Photoknight Palladius, but it doesn't actually matter because neither fit into this guide.

Good guide. But poor Tinplate Archduke, no one remember him :(

There are still a lot of generic Rank 4's missing including:

Number 106: Giant Hand

Number 44: Sky Pegasus

Evigishki Merrowgeist

Number 104: Masquerade Magician - Shining

Number 69: Heraldry Crest

Number 10: Illumiknight

Number 32: Shark Drake

Diamond Dire Wolf

Tin Archduke

Steelswarm Roach

Number 91: Thunder Spark Dragon

Evilswarm Ouroboros

Wind-Up Zenmaister

They did cover some of the better ones though (yes I'm aware the post I'm quoting is from a few months ago, but I just felt to point this out).

The only I can do is Thunder Spark Dragon.

The Pros of it:

  1. 2400 is reasonable for a Rank Xyz monster.
  2. Powerful nuking capability for Xyz deck.
  3. Connects to point 2. It's a better version of Black Rose Dragon, since he remains.
  4. LIGHT for Honest support.

The Cons D: :

  1. Not worth bringing out against a deck with low monster count.
  2. Low Atk for a 3 Material Xyz.
  3. Shock Master is always the better choice for a 3-material Xyz.
  4. If your opponent has backrow, then Black Rose is better than this card.
